2016 being an amazing year for music, I thought I would start off 2017 in the right way, talking about one of the best new musicians to grace the music scene, Declan Mckenna. Having already done several headlining gigs being only 18, it's fair to say that Declan hasn't been shy in achieving lots in just the beginning of his career, and because of this has become one of the freshest and newest artists out there. Although not everyone has heard of the beauty that is Declan Mckenna, the prospect of his fame in 2017 after his January tour is inevitable, leaving even more girls ready to fangirl at his heartthrob performances and dreamy voice.
Having had huge tunes such as 'Brazil' and 'Isombard' being played frequently on Radio 1, Declan has recently released his newest single 'The Kids Don't Wanna Come Home', featuring chilled vibes with lyrics and a title that every single teenager can relate to, and at 18 he wants to be the voice of every young person and tries to reflect that in the tunes that he writes.
Having toured with indie sensation Blossoms, Declan was able to bloom the most in 2016, and its safe to say he hasn't been shy in letting people know of his ever-growing fame. After his tour this month starting on the 23rd of January (the date in which I'm attending) and playing popular small indie venues such as The Waterfront in Norwich and also The Garage in London when it comes to his few dates in March, Mckenna is probably buzzing out of his seat in his tour bus with the prospect of starting this new chapter in his career, starting 2017 off the right way.
