JAKE BUGG'S SMASHING COMEBACK

Jake Bugg, 21 year old musician from Nottigham, the UK, also known as the musician who magically disappeared in late 2014 after his latest release, the "Messed Up Kids" - EP. People were already giving up the thought of receiving new music anytime soon, let alone a third studio album that he supposedly has been working on ever since.

Now, Bugg broke his silence. And oh, Ladies and Gents, how he broke his silence.

It was a shock to me, as well as many people, as without any warning BBC radio 1 played a brand new track on February 15, that, in addition to that, is up on his website as a free download.

With "On My One" Jake Bugg definitely stayed true to his raw and folky guitar sound, and it seems he kept his word of a darker atmosphere around his forthcoming album and represents a rather negative perspective with the lyrics "I had my dreams / But in this world they're gone, they're gone".

"Three years on the road, 400 shows / Where do I go home?" - A song about being on the road for too long, and the loneliness coming with it. After all he is just the "poor boy from Nottingham" that he sings about in "On My One".

Boom. The dream of a new full length isn't out of reach anymore, it's coming, guys.

According to BBC, it might not only be self written but also partly self-produced, and in an interview with Q he said that it might have some hip hop influences to it. A hip hop - Jake Bugg? Hard to believe. Bugg said that he still does mix them with his guitar to make it sound like him, but claims that all the songs on the album do all sound really different. Are we a little excited?

Then, there we had the next smashing news already. Jake Bugg announced a "London Compass Tour" with four London shows at different places all over the city that he will be playing in March:

7th March, London, Village Underground (East)
8th March, London, Tufnell Park Dome (North)
10th March, London, Brixton Electric (South)
11th March, London, Bush Hall (West)

Tickets for the gigs are on sale Friday, 26th February at 9 am on his website.

And as if all of that wasn't enough, Bugg surprised everyone with a catwalk-performance during the Burberry show at London's fashion week, performing his new track "On My One", as well as "Country Song", "A Song About Love", "Someone Told Me" and "Me And You", off his first two albums. And of course, what else, he also put the audio to his performance on itunes as a "Live for Burberry - EP".

Still not convinced on how massive and intense this comeback is? Well, we're not done here yet.

Bugg's new single "Gimme The Love" is about to premier on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 Show at 7:30 today.

New (free) track, new tour, new EP, new single. All that happening in one week.

Moving forward so quickly, it seems Bugg really knows what he wants and has pretty clear plans and visions for the future. To cut it short, Jake Bugg is doing everything right at the moment, and I can't wait for the new album and what else there is instore for him this year.

This was probably just the forerun.

EDIT: Bugg announced that his album is released June 17 and you can now pre-order it on all formats on his website.
