Fans all around the world have been been waiting for the third album by American folk band Bon Iver which was released on September 30, 2016. It took 5 years for the band to release the album but I believe it was worth it and that even the idea of them nearly contemplated ditching the project altogether is mind blowing.
Singer/songwriter Justin Vernon's spare sound and pure vocals caught the attention of people looking for new and unique music. Further albums changing and shifting their sound bolstered the band's popularity and widened their fan base, earning them a famous fan (and future collaborator) in Kanye West.

They announced ‘22, A Million’, their third album, by playing the whole thing live at his own festival in his home town of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This album would be melting your heart one minute and iritating your eardrums the next, but always baffling and beautiful.
The dropouts make the album at times sound like it’s been taped off the radio, and there’s a charm to that, a sense of corruption to it. It feels as though Vernon has challenged himself to write a beautiful thing, smash it up and yet still make it work as a song.
