'BEST OF THE KOOKS' SUMMER TOUR 2017

Having not done a full tour in a while, The Kooks, currently consisting of Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris, Alexis Nunez, Peter Denton and Ewan Ling, take us all aback by surprise when the band post this picture to their Instagram showing us a full Uk tour in the spring of 2017! Leaving all us faithful The Kooks fans righteously ecstatic to finally be seeing them live! 

The tour consisting of 17 dates all around the UK, including major cities such as London and Manchester, leave everyone (including myself who lives in a town with no major gig venue) able to attend and be able to scream the ever so famous lyrics to 'Naive' to random strangers in the crowd, which to any gig lover, brings insane happiness throughout the duration of the gig. 

The Kooks being a huge band for many many years since 2004 when they formed in Brighton, have been, to any new comer indie kid, the first band they fall in love with, as as soon as you first hear the first notes to 'She Moves In Her Own Way' on the radio, can't help but google them and raid youtube listening to all their tunes. 

Selling out the tour in just short of a few hours in most venues, truly highlights the fans dedications to this band. Having a very mixed crowd for these tours, including people who have known the Kooks since 2004 and people who have just discovered them, will only increase the amount of tickets they sell, and their true popularity. Naming the tour 'The Best Of The Kooks', a title and tour in which isn't based on a certain album or event that has happened in their music career, has left us all wondering, is this the last tour they will do? Or just the beginning of what there is to come for The Kooks?
