'WAKE UP' - CIRCA WAVES ARE BACK

Last night the internet has been going crazy over this tune, it has been going crazy over this new single of Circa Waves that everyone has been waiting on for no time less than nearly two years since their debut album "Young Chasers" dropped in early 2014. 

'Wake Up' everybody, Circa Waves are back.

A slightly heavier version of what Circa Waves stood for with "Young Chasers", this song just really shows the developement in both, production and music. They didn't keep it as simple as they did with majority of the tracks we've heard of the band before;  there are definitely more layers to the whole thing and its diversity shows that Circa Waves know exactly where they want to go, and it works really well!
Because really, it sounds big. The bass as thick as never before, the guitar is sounding huge, and frontman Kieran Shudall's vocals are, of course, just as energetic and on point as always,-  they sure didn't miss any opportunities of making this track a solid first single of the brand new album entitled "Different Creatures" that is coming out on March 10th. 

And I guess this song really sums up what Circa Waves said earlier this year about album number 2, that if 'Young Chasers' was considered a 'daytime' record, then this one would be a 'nighttime' one. Indeed, this tune is darker than their previous material. But it still has the same vibe of giving you the strong urge to just freak out and completly lose it like their summery jams on 'Young Chasers' did before, just in a different way.

Overall, the sound of album number 1 and the sound of what we heard of album number 2 with 'Wake Up' just really goes together, - it is still Circa Waves how you remember them, just with a slight new twist to it.
